Have you ever had a question about life and looked for answers in philosophy books but couldn’t find quite what you were looking for? We are building AI characters to embody the great philosophers of the ages so you can ask for clarity.
This project was inspired by many sources, including:
- A 1985 interview with Steve Jobs where he gave a prescient description of AI and considered what it would take to ask Aristotle a question. Large Language Models make this possible by using the written works of philosophers as the basis for training.
- The fantastic work of Glyn Hughes at Squashed Philosophers (sqapo.com) who makes philosophy accessible to everyone by writing abridged summaries of philosophical writings. The DeepDiscourse chat interface allows fast access to the most relevant parts of philosophical writings, in as much or as little detail as you desire.
- Napoleon Hill famously taught that “No mind is complete by itself. It needs contact and association with other minds to grow and expand.” DeepDiscourse allows you to form a virtual Mastermind Group with the great thinkers across time.
